Visit to Brighthelmstone Council

On a snowy day in February Ill.Comp. Richard Baker, invited me down to Brighton as his guest at Brighthelmstone Council of Royal and Select Masters No. 15. The meeting was held in the Sussex Masonic Centre in Brighton.

Visit to Brighthelmstone Council After the Council was opened the Deputy District Grand Master, Ill.Comp. Glen Coneley, entered in procession and was welcomed by Ill.Comp. Richard. The Council of Select Masters was adjourned and a Council of Super Excellent Masters was opened. Comp. Osiju Onah, was received and acknowledged as a Super Excellent Master by Ill.Comp. Richard, assisted by Ill.Comp. Paul Gosling and Ill.Comp. Glen Coneley, who gave the lecture.

A Council of Super Excellent Masters was closed and a Council of Select Masters was resumed. A ballot was held for admission and membership of the Council for Comp. Bob Soper, proposed by Alastair Richardson and seconded by Richard Baker. This proved in his favour.

Comp. Bob was chosen as a Select Master in an excellent and sincere manner by Ill. Comp. Richard assisted by Comp. Alastair who gave the History of the Degree.

After the meeting the members of Brighthelmstone Council and their guests sat down to a splendid meal in the Sussex Masonic Centre.
