Waverley Council - The First Twenty One Years

In March Comp. Ian Clark invited me to the 21st Anniversary Meeting of Waverley Council No. 205 held in Godalming.

Waverley Council - The First Twenty One Years After the Council was opened the District Grand Master, R.Ill.Comp. David Blackburn, entered in procession accompanied by the Deputy District Grand Master, Ill.Comp. Jack Love, the District Grand Principal Conductor of the Work, Ill.Comp. David Else and a number of District Grand Officers. The District Grand Master was warmly welcomed by the T.I.M. Ill.Comp. Nigel Harding.

A ballot was taken for Admission into the Order for Comps. Ross Clark and John Ward. This proved in their favour and Comps. Ross and John were chosen as a Select Masters in an excellent manner by Ill. Comp. Nigel, assisted by Comp. Ian Clark who acted as Conductor of the Council. Comp. Michael Town was then installed as the Thrice Illustrious Master in a most sincere manner by Ill.Comp. Nigel Harding.

The next item on the agenda was to receive a talk on the Council’s 21 Years given by R.Ill. Comp. Arnold Long, PDistGM. This most interesting talk was well received by all present. The District Grand Master afterwards thanked R.Ill. Comp. Arnold for all the work put into his excellent talk - Click here to view the talk.

After the meeting the members of Waverley Council and their guests sat down to a splendid meal in the Godalming Masonic Centre.
