With a little help from their friends

In May, I was invited along to the Earl of Zetland Chapter in London to assist the Chapter by acting as MEZ. Also present was our District Grand Master, E.Comp. David Blackburn, who acted as Principal Sojourner, and a number of Heads of Orders present and past from the Province of Surrey.

Waverley Council - The First Twenty One Years The main item on the agenda was an address by the Scribe E, E.Comp. Michael Barnes, entitled ‘Arches’. This most interesting and informative address was very well received and prompted a good discussion afterwards.

Present as the Chapter Director of Ceremonies was the Provincial Grand Master of the Mark Province of Surrey, E.Comp. Ian Clark, and as the Third Principal, E.Comp. Louis Keats, the Provincial Grand Summus of the Ancient and Masonic Order of the Scarlet Cord in the Provincial Grand Senatus of Surrey.

The guests included E.Comp. Arnold Long, (Past District Grand Master); E.Comp. David Willmott, (District Grand Treasurer); E.Comp. Chris Cradock, Provincial Sub Prior in the Provincial Priory of Surrey, Knights Templar; and the Deputy Grand Superintendent Designate in the Royal Arch Province of Surrey, E.Comp. Richard Knox.

After the Chapter was closed we all went along to the Imperial Hotel, Russell Square, for a most convivial festive board.
