The Installation Meeting of Waverley Council of Royal & Select Masters
In July 2021 Waverley Council held their first meeting since the resumption of Masonic activity. Present were our District Grand Master, R.Ill.Comp. David Blackburn, our Past District Grand Master, R.Ill.Comp. Arnold Long; and our District Grand Recorder, Ill.Comp. Terry Carpenter.
The meeting was opened by the Thrice Illustrious Master, Ill.Comp. Bill Barr who welcomed everyone to the Council, especially our District Grand Master R.Ill.Comp. David Blackburn who was saluted with 7 under the direction of the Director of Ceremonies, Ill.Comp. Graham Rawlinson.
The main item on the agenda was to install Comp. Ray Seeley as Thrice Illustrious Master. This was done if a very personal and sincere manner by Ill.Comp. Bill Barr. R.Ill.Comp. Arnold Long occupied the Chair of Deputy Master, R.Ill.Comp. Michael Barnes acted as Principal Conductor of the work and Ill.Comp. Terry Carpenter acted as Captain of the Guard.
After the Council was closed the members of the Mark Provincial Executive, present and past congratulated Ray Seeley, their Provincial Grand Treasurer, on being installed as Thrice Illustrious Master.
After the meeting a most enjoyable festive board was had by all at the Godalming Masonic Centre.
