A Visit to Middlesex

On Saturday 27th November 2021 a delegation from Surrey drove up to the Uxbridge Masonic Centre to attend the Annual Meeting of the District Grand Council of Middlesex. Also attending the meeting was R.Ill.Comp. David Rose, Grand Councillor, representing the Most Illustrious Grand Master.

A Visit to Middlesex We all met up in the dining room for coffee and a chat before getting ready for the meeting.

A Visit to Middlesex The meeting was opened by the District Grand Master who welcomed everyone, especially Right Illustrious Companion David Rose, who was invited to address the Companions. R.Ill.Comp. David brought a message of congratulations from the Grand Master to those Grand Officers recently appointed, as well as the District Grand Officers being appointed that day.

After the regular business of District Grand Council had been concluded, the District Grand Master had much pleasure in re-appointing as Deputy District Grand Master, Ill.Comp. G S Dossett, P.A.G.D.C. The District Grand Master then had much pleasure in re-appointing as District Grand Principal Conductor of the Work Ill.Comp. John M Edwards, P.A.G.D.C.

A Visit to Middlesex The District Grand Master then addressed District Grand Council. He formally welcomed the many guests that had travelled not inconsiderable distances to attend the Annual Meeting. He congratulated those who were promoted in Grand Rank as well as those recently appointed or re-appointed to District Grand Rank. He ended by wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and a safe and healthy New Year.

District Grand Council was closed and the District Grand Master, attended by the Deputy District Grand Master, the District Grand Principal Conductor of the Work, and distinguished guests, retired in procession.

A Visit to Middlesex A Visit to Middlesex A Visit to Middlesex It was a very convivial lunch with good food and good company. As the Assistant Recorder for Surrey I was fortunate to be seated at the District Recorders’ table, thereby enjoying a glass of the customary port.

After the meal the District Grand Master thanked everyone for coming along to support the Annual Meeting and wished everyone well for the future.
