Another Candidate for Waverley Council
The Companions of Waverley Council No 205 had yet another busy afternoon in March. As well as the Installation of Andrew Sales as Thrice Illustrious Master they also had another Candidate for Admission. Present were two Right Illustrious Companions, R.Ill.Comp Arnold Long, Past District Grand Master, and R.Ill.Comp. Mik Barnes.
The Council was opened by the Immediate Past Thrice Illustrious Master, Ill.Comp. Colin Clark, who welcomed everyone, especially the guests.
The two Right Illustrious Companions were saluted with seven under the direction of the Director of Ceremonies. V.Ill.Comp. Ray Hussey was salute with five and the Grand Officers with three.
After the business of the Council had been concluded a ballot was taken for a Candidate for Admission, Bro. Barrie Selway, which also proved in his favour. The Thrice Illustrious Master conducted the Ceremony of Select Master, assisted by R.Ill.Comp. Mik Barnes and Ill.Comps Ian Clark and Ray Seeley.
The next item on the agenda was to Install Comp. Andrew Sales as Thrice Illustrious Master. This was done in a very sincere manner by Ill.Comp. Colin Clark. Ill.Comp. Andrew then appointed and invested his Officers for the year.
The Council was closed, and after the customary photos we retired for some well-earned refreshments…
…before sitting down to a most convivial Festive Board at the Masonic Hall, Godalming.
